MARINA A. CORYAT BIO
Marina A. Coryat is the CEO for Refined Communications LLC. She is an innovative, strategic and results-driven business relations leader with extensive experience in public affairs and community relations in corporate, non-profit, and governmental arenas. She has a solid track record to lead and inspire by positively creating strategies, developing programs and building strong relationships. Some of her
experience has been for organizations such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, McDonald’s franchise owners, and the City of Houston.
As a goal-oriented advocate of continuous improvement, Marina solves problems creatively to exceed expectations, generate revenue, minimize expenses and contribute to
overall company branding, growth and morale. She has a proven track record.
In addition to her work, Marina is a Lifetime Member and Ambassador of the Greater Houston Partnership. Her desire is to see individuals grow to their fullest potential and reach their destiny. This drives her passion for serving as a Board Member for both United Way’s Career and Recovery Resources, Inc. and the Houston Area Urban League (HAUL).
She is also the HAUL Fund Development Chair and was the Co-chair of HAUL’s 49th Annual Equal Opportunity Day Gala held June 17, 2017. Marina is an active member of Windsor
Village United Methodist Church where she serves in ministry.
She is also a sought-out conference speaker for small groups, businesses and ministries.
Marina holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She is also a graduate of Leadership Houston, Trimm Institute for Global Leadership as well as the Center for Houston’s Future.
Her professional organizations include a variety of chambers, media affiliated organizations and master-mind groups. She has received leadership awards from Texas Women’s Empowerment Foundation, Texas Legislative Black Caucus, Who’s Who in Black Houston and Top 30 Influential
Women in Houston.
