Khiara Sherman is a versatile Bahamian singer/songwriter and producer who infuses many genres into her music and is one of the most popular female artists from The Bahamas. She is a former Miss Bahamas and was a contestant in the Miss Universe competition. Khiara has worked with writers from the Caribbean region including Jason "Shaft" Bishop from Trinidad, and Janine Scott from Barbados, as well as legendary producers like Stadic and KB Sharp.
Having sung as a lead singer for various bands within The Bahamas, she has been featured on a few Bahamian artists' albums and has toured the US as a background vocalist. Khiara has opened for numerous regional and international artists. Having graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Khiara decided to place music on the forefront and in 2014 she embarked on a solo career, her first single, Are You The One, reached No. 18 on the Chartbase Top 100 charts in Denmark and also made Italy's Dj music charts.
Her 2015 soca release, Fly Away With Me, was featured by the national airline carrier of the Bahamas, Bahamas Air, in its commercials.The song could also be heard on the national airline carrier of the Caribbean, Caribbean Airways and was featured in a commercial for the 2017 FIFA World Cup Beach Soccer.
Her 2016 soca release, Party Shutdown, was featured in the American film Live Cargo staring Dree Hemingway, who is the great-granddaughter of American author Ernest Hemingway, and Keith Stanfield from the block buster film Straight Outta Compton and recently released American film Get Out.
When Khiara is not on the road performing in regional and international carnival events, promoting her music, or working on new projects, she finds time to lend her voice for commercials and is now the host of the show "Tropical Vybz Top 10 Countdown" on AfroVibes radio where she will be bringing her audience all things Caribbean
